We H.O.P.E.
About the Foundation
The non-profit We H.O.P.E. Foundation began its work in 2009 behind the passion of founder and executive director and Las Vegas resident Valerie Grijalva. Supporters of We H.O.P.E. (We Help Other People Endure) work to ease the financial worries of families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness or injury.

A parent of two young boys, Valerie Grijalva enjoys the blessings of their health and active lives every day - while also understanding the tremendous pain and stress suffered by parents and families providing care to a child with a serious, chronic or even terminal illness or injury.
"I can't imagine anything happening to my boys. I'm very fortunate, and I want to help those who are less so."
The We H.O.P.E. Foundation matches parents in need with supportive community resources and generous family-to-family financial assistance. Through an innovative, privacy-protected service, We H.O.P.E. Foundation leaders connect families with local donors (individuals, businesses, and community organizations), help tell stories that need to be shared, and ensure all donations directly benefit children and parents reaching out for a helping hand.
The foundation's "local first" focus helps ensure highly personal relationships are formed between families and those with an ability to help reduce financial worries.
With financial burdens eased, parents are able to focus their attention on the medical, social and educational priorities of their children - and their entire family.
The We H.O.P.E. Foundation was started with what Grijalva calls a "give where you live" philosophy. "But, I have a vision that's larger than life, and I know we can do good things on a national platform, too."
The We H.O.P.E. Foundation's roots currently stretch throughout the Las Vegas metro area - with wider regional and national growth planned soon.
